This morning I got chewed out for eating a couple of bites of my oldest lucky charms while i was getting him ready for school. This then turned into a full lecture of why i can't eat their things because they are expensive. We buy kid's cereal for kids and if i want cereal i can have oatmeal or granola.

This also lead to the fact that she knows I eat their mac and cheese when she's not around as well as a comment on how she plans out their lunches and we normally come up a juice box or two short on occasion.

Kids things I have not let go of:

Capri Suns
Lucky Charms
Reece's Puffs
Mac n Cheese
Cheese Its
Goldfish

I don't see any childish things in your post. Just tasty snacks.

That's what I think... but alas... they are expensive.

Why do we buy expensive stuff for kids and tasteless cheap crap for ourselves?

I would insert some witty childish humor here, but your wife would not get it and probably scold both of us for snickering at it.

I eat and drink what I want from my pantry that I bought for my kids. The key words in that is I bought it!

Also collect comic books and action figures still!

If these are your biggest fights with the misses, you're doing something right.

Goldfish and mac-n-cheese are expensive? I must be doing something wrong.

FWIW, my two year old eats the exact same food my wife and I eat, for better or worse for the lot of us.

Anyone who has read a comic lately should know that comics are not for kids anymore. (Seen sig) Very expensive hobby too.

This. My daughter will get mad when she goes to get the cereal and it's all gone. I tell her "tough" that she had her chances to eat it ans shouldn't have been chowing down on Eggo's or Pop Tarts.

All great icons of childhood..

But, sadly all of these things are fake food that do more harm than good.

I feast on my own boogers. I'm not sure that's childish, most would consider it good nutrition.
