Do you see more people dependent on the program in the future?

I can't remember which states it was, but there were supposedly some that actually accept EBT as payment at fast food joints.

IIRC,in Florida. the ebt could be used at the strip clubs.

I believe they put a stop to that.

I think it's troubling that we have a record number of job openings, record low labor participation rate, and record levels of food stamp usage.

Food banks and soup kitchens worked out just fine in times of trouble before the 60s, and they didn't pervert incentives like the current program does now.

A great program for the poor. Of course you will have some trash that abuses the system but the program should continue as nobody in this country should ever go hungry.

Nobody has starved to death in the USA in the past 50 years. Hunger is a hell of a motivator.

I never understood why people like them so much. They don't taste well and they can't be too nutritious.

Great concept that has turned into a great failure and now is used to do nothing more than buy votes for the left.

I have no problem helping to keep someone from starving or being hungry. I have a huge problem having to pay for them to be grossly obese causing more health issues that again, I have to pay for.

Get behind someone at the gro store, they go through and swipe their EBT (someone ELSE's money) and aren't required to show ID. I go through the same line and get ready to pay with my debit card (with MY money) and have to show ID to prove it's me.

WTF?

Of course they don't taste well; they're inanimate objects. They have no sense of taste.

Good in theory but the execution and abuse is rampant and put of control.

Agreed. Some people really need them but they are overly abused.
