Best Zevon song?

My vote is French Inhaler with Mohammed's Radio a close second.

"I saw a werewolf drinking a piña colada at Trader Vics, and his hair was perfect"

One of my favorite lines from any song.

All of the above plus Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner, Excitable Boy, Desperados Under the Eaves... hell-they're mostly all great.

Warren could have been one of the biggest, most popular musicians around - his arrangement and songwriting skills were world class. However, he stayed true to himself instead of writing pop tunes and bringing in the ridiculous money.

Favorite artist of all time
Desparados Under the Eaves
"If California slides into the ocean, like the mystics and statistics say it will,
I predict this hotel will be standing, until I pay my bill"

Play It All Night Long
"Grandpa pissed his pants again. He don't give a damn.
Brother Billy has both guns drawn. He ain't be right since Viet Nam.
Sweet Home Alabama, play that dead band's song. Turn the speakers up full blast. Play it all night long."

He came on Imus' show a month before his death to say goodbye. I was driving to work and Imus was practically in tears. I am sure all listeners were touched. Classy
