Absolutely, they started this a few years ago.

For movies and series I use pelispedia. Completely free and isn't that much of a hassle, especially if you want to see stuff from Netflix and the like and not pay for it.

Yes. I've had it for about 2 years. It's no Xfinity, but I hate Comcast and I'll settle for slower internet speeds so I don't have to deal with that putrid company. I think my current download speed was rated at 12mbps, but I really only peak at about 8mbps. I never had a problem streaming, but I also don't stream on more than one device, usually. If I had a bunch of people over streaming on their phones while I was watching a game, you could tell that there was a drain on the system.

AT&T says that at my new house the max download speed will be 3mbps. I'm skeptical that this will be enough to stream. If not, I told my SO she can go get Xfinity, but I will never sign onto anything Comcast again.

I use Vue from PlayStation. It's fantastic. Has DVR, plenty of channels, and pretty sure you don't even need a ps4 to use it.

Just my opinion. I have used sling, and it's okay. Was turned off by no DVR though

Please tell me some more about Vue. I've been interested in that particular alternative to cable. If I'm not using a PS3, how would I stream it to the TV?

Sling was horrible for me. The audio and video were always at least 30 seconds apart. I thought it was just because of trying to watch a live game, but it was like that with everything (markedly worse with live sports). Sling was a waste of time, money, and patience.

tried sling last year and it sucked.

^ That sums it up very well.

I swapped to Vue this time last year and love it. $35 a month, all HD. Don't know about using it without the PS3

i'm demoing it right now. it's a bit laggy on my ps3, but goes like a champ on my roku. i'm trying to convince my wife, but there's a few stations they don't carry she'll be upset about.

I just bought Vue yesterday and it was going out bad on my PS3. Then switched to Roku and everything started working like a boss. Thankfully I figured this out before switching internet providers because I thought I didn't have enough internet speedand ATT only offers one option in rural areas.

Now my question is how to stream one roku on multiple TVs?

Hogwarts correct about sports channels, you will get pretty much all ESPN. For buffering, speed issues, check with your provider, may have to upgrade modem. Only real issue we have with sling - will bump your channel if someone turns it on another TV. Hulu is ok. Netflix has a lot of different stuff like international content. One of my fav shows on Netflix is Oscillating fan for your home.. I like to have it playing while a fan runs in the room, like having it in stereo.

Bought a jailbreak firestick for 65$. Exodus has allowed me to cut everything but internet. Dunno what I'll do for sports, but I love it.
