What can you tell me about the Luxury Inn in watkinsville? Kinda looks sketchy and do taxis run out there? Food looks limited too.
Also this will be during the UGA/mizzou weekend if that changes anything. Thanks!

It's Watkinsville, dude. There's nothing out there. I'm sure you can snag or call for a taxi, but it won't be the flat fee that they normally charge for just around downtown Athens.

Can't give you much about the hotel, but you'll be hard pressed to get a cab to run out there especially on a busy game weekend. They definitely won't make that trip from downtown around bar closing time. Too much money to be made with those short drop offs. Uber may be a different story. Didn't have Uber in my college days, so I'm not sure if or how that's working in Athens.

There's absolutely nothing to fear in Watkinsville. It's basically a rural suburb of Athens. You can hitch a ride (to and from ) with one of the 30-40 k traveling back home down 441 or hwy 15 to South Georgia. It's a 10 minute ride to Sanford from Watkinsville. Hell, I'll give you a ride if needed.

Hampton Inn is a good one right off Broad Street/Highway 78 going West out of Athens.

You could try VRBO.com. If you've got 10 guys that would cut down on the cost per person for a house for the weekend. I've done this before and it worked out great.
ETA: The only houses left are probably going to be pretty high, though.
