Sounds like your mountain bike trail system is legit as it gets.
I've not ridden a good deal of the trail, so I can't tell you how the terrain differs, but it extends from south Fayetteville to basically almost the Missouri state lane. It's a good 40 or so miles of bicycle freeway, essentially.

The cycle trail system that runs all over NWA is definitely legit. In Fayetteville, you can live life with only a bicycle, as the paved trail system goes pretty much all over the city.
The mountain biking amenities are good enough that they hosted the IMBA World Summit in Bentonville last month.
There are some really technical areas in Bentonville. Fayetteville is building some new trails for mountain biking on Mt. Kessler. Rogers has the Rail Yard park.
You can mountain bike or cycle every single day up here and never get bored. Leave the metro and there are a few Epics as well. We might be the best state for mountain biking outside of the Mountain West.
IMBA stuff

That's pretty awesome.
I was reading they were built when Wal-Mart required their vendors to open offices in Bentonville about a decade ago. And some of those trails are world renowned. I'm glad I have a good mountain bike already.
