Damn, A&M jumped us? I feel like 2nd tier all of a sudden. Now I know how the rest of the SEC other than Vandy and Florida has felt like.

Texas A&M and Florida are insanely huge right now, so it makes sense.

You need to fix it. We're 24 spots ahead of TAMU.

Really surprised that Alabama isn't in the Top-5 with their Law School.

Phew. I didn't go look, just figured someone actually posted facts.

Good. I don't feel 2nd tier anymore. We're where we've always been in the SEC as far as academics, #2 behind Vandy. I dig it.

It is and has a better rep in engineering. You and other sidewalk fans conflate selectivity in admissions with the quality of the education at a college. Harvard is a tiny school at the undergrad level and they aren't required to take x number of in state students so they can be very selective.

You are the guy who talks about large state universities as though they are community college and only have students from the local area. It is incredible you are projecting yourself as an expert on universities. I don't think a person who has posted the pic of a girl's butt on a forum is the source authority on Clemson and other universities.

You realize using USNWR is suspect to start with. Schools pay them to advertise and it is geared at selling freshmen a product.

Dude... Clemson isn't even a top 20 public university in the US. How high are you?

all you are doing is reciting a magazine that is staffed by liberal arts people who don't hire anybody. US News rankings are about selling magazines.

I calculated the other day that if Clemson reduced its undergrad enrollment by 60 percent to about 7000 students, it would be as selective as Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech is actually about 3000 students smaller than Clemson despite being in the 8th most populated state.

US News doesn't take this into account when looking at selectivity.
