...and I found out what a mint julep was.

My mother wanted me to place a $50 bet on a horse that was 50:1. I was too drunk to find the betting booth. Then the horse won outright. I later got lost in downtown Louisville, and had to be found by my friends who were local to the area.

Anyone else have any Derby stories?

How the hell did you not know what a mint julep was?

I knew it was a drink. I did not, however, know it was straight Kentucky bourbon with sugar and mint leaves crushed into it.
