Does anyone get this impression?

Has the news being reported 24/7 caused networks to manufacture or inflate stories to improve/maintain ratings?

Are the nation's elite using this as a smokescreen to mask their takeover of the country?

What say you?

Why would a bunch of countries get together and take over another country?

Yes, but the implication that this is new is without merit.

They're for-profit businesses and the idea that the media is or has ever been some type of noble enterprise tasked with protecting the public is an image of their own creation.

So yes, they do whatever they can to generate traffic. A century ago it was newspaper sales, today it is URL clicks but the real goal's always been to make the sale.

The biggest lie people believe about news is "journalistic integrity and objectivity"

Was there ever a time when the nations elite didn't control this country?

"The media" doesn't mean CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News. If people weren't so lazy nowadays and could actually READ, they would realize there is more to the media than cable entertainment news.

Wrong.

The real goal has always been to carry the water of the aristocrats (thanks genro). Those crafty enough to figure out how to do that, AND generate revenue are, and always have been, the leaders in the media business.

You work in media, right?

It isn't a coincidence that in general, all media comes to the same conclusions about everything, on every issue.

Sure, you have outliers like Hannity or O'Reilly or Maddow, but even they aren't all that far apart on broader issues.

Everything put out goes through a filter, just like our politicians are filtered and vetted before we get the chance to even vote.

You may not be interested in psychological warfare, but psychological warfare is interested in you.

Also, this isn't special or new, everyone has known this for a while.

About 4-5 companies own absolutely everything that we see, hear, or read in a news format globally.

Think about that for one second.

Pseudo alternative news isn't better.

It's just like craft beer, the biggest ones, and even the not so big ones, are actually owned by larger companies.
