I'm having a debate here and want you guys' opinion on this, who would win in a psychological battle between the Joker and Hannibal Lecter??

Rules of Engagement, both combatants tied up in chair and and they can only talk and play mind games... Who wins??

The Joker's desire is for unbridled chaos. He has no exploitable weakness or motivation other than self preservation and creating more chaos. Hannibal Lecter had the thing where he kidnapped that chick and tried to turn her in to his sister. That's probably exploitable at some level.

It must be me, but I always thought "SotL" was completely overrated - especially Hopkins' Lector. To me, his Lector is even more cartoonish than the Joker. When I saw the movie in the theater I had to fight from laughing when he was on screen. I think Cesar Romero's Joker is more threatening.

You didn't think the whole "fava beans & Chianti" conversation was laughably bad? And him in the goalie mask was threatening? It just always made me roll my eyes that he was this dangerous killer.

The fava beans and Chianti deal is a veiled disclosure that he was not taking anti psychotic medications. (Liver, beans, red wine can all cause a fatal reaction)

Sorry you didn't get that reference.

Joker. I mean, Hannibal got caught already several times and could have been killed.
