Any of you guys own one? I'm considering getting one. Just curious the pros and cons.

It is great for fitness and notification triaging if you are a busy person. Otherwise it is a solution looking for a problem. Don't always wear it.

Agree with the above: solution in need of a problem. Overkill.

Looks pretty dorky, imo. Overkill if you have other devices. This fat hillbilly dork I used to work with has one, and it's ridiculous watching him juggle all his alerts on multiple devices throughout meetings.
So I think that's the kind of person the Apple watch is geared too: fat dorks who try to look very busy.

Gimmick. Has no practical application. Must pair with an iPhone.

Had one for less than 24 hours before flipping it. It's a couple generations from being polished and useful.

I'd get the Moto 360 before I got that. And I haven't gotten a Moto 360.
it looks like a watch. The apple watch is hideous.

I'd at least wait for the second version that should be coming out in March

From what I can tell, it doesn't do anything better than your phone and you have to have your phone with you anyway. I don't see how looking at a little screen on your arm is much of an improvement over reaching in your pocket and looking at that screen - maybe for women who keep their phones in their purses.
The only thing to set it apart may be the health stuff. I haven't compared it to the numerous alternatives in terms of price and function.

My mom has one and loves it. Personally, I think I spend too much time on my phone (I am on my computer as I am typing this making it different than my phone) so to think I will have my phone on my wrist at all times turns me off to the idea.

A family friend of ours has one. He absolutely loves it. He is a lawyer/ the tech geek of his firm and he likes it so much, they purchased one for all the other lawyers.

This though. I always wait until the 2nd generation, which at least allows them to fix any simple/initial bugs.

I haven't worn a watch since high school. I've lost/damaged too many damn watches, and my phone/iPod has everything else I need on it.

I would consider it strictly for the health monitoring benefits.
MUCH more interactive than a fit bit for just a few more $s
