It says she was seriously injured so perhaps she was thrown there and sat up after wards. The guy gets out to help and she was not moving to stand so maybe sitting was all she could do at that point.

Yeah. I tried to see if I could see her beforehand, but I couldn't. No telling where she originated from, then poof.. there she is.

It's in front of them and is kind of sideways and covered in greenery.
