I've never defecated in water. I wonder if it's refreshing.

You still have an outhouse in the backyard?

Not sure about refreshing but indoor plumbing sure does make it easier.

They should be called public cesspools. People are filthy creatures and they piss, shite and spit in public waters. They don't bathe their asses before they enter pools either. At the CDC we called them brown trout ponds.

I dropped a deuce once as a kid, while on a tubing trip in North Georgia. It was relaxing, but unfortunately it followed us for a couple a rapids. The damn thing wouldn't go away.

I've shite in a lake before. It was a pretty 'meh' experience in retrospect.

Rivers and lakes don't pose the same hazards that public pools do for spreading diseases from one person to another. There's much more water (dilution factor) and natural organisms that eat the shite. It doesn't stay around very long.
In public pools, however, disease that might be present in even a small piece of a turd can circulate for hours in a well-chlorinated pool. The chlorine simply cannot get to the disease organisms to kill them.
It's reasonable to think that, if you're a frequent user of public pools, you've swallowed shite that came from someone else. That you didn't come down with a disease is only because there were no pathogens in that particular person. They might be in the next one, however.
To me, public pools are a kind of Russian roulette. I don't play that game with my health.

So you are saying it was a persistent little shite?

Some kid shite in the pool at Hattiesburg Country Club yesterday. Pool was closed for the day. I hope the parents get a bill for cleanup.

21 years old and I've never dipped a toe in a public pool, not even on vacation and by God if you're in Baton Rouge steer very clear of Blue Bayou (people have died)

I haven't been in a public pool in years for that very reason.
