Who's upgrading grills?

What new item are you planning on trying out or bringing back to the grill after a hiatus?

There's some smart people on here which leads me to wonder what you bastards are burning outside..

I want to buy a smoker and get semi food at it before the 4th.. Been grilling many new veggies but nothing new as far as meat goes yet.

Finna throw on some Fajita flavored chicken now.

I'm smoking a whole chicken in the vertical smoker as I type this.

I'll be purchasing this in a week or so as a birthday present to myself.

The Brinkmann Smoker is almost 15 years old, and I won't be scrapping it, it is "smoked in" and has a few more years left.

The Brinkmann grill on the other hand, let's just say it's become a safety hazard.

Brinkmann made some quality shite back in the early 2000's though. I bought both as a pair in 2001. Both have served me diligently.

This time around I really just want a horizontal smoker, but my wife loves my steaks, so the Okie Joe should give us what we both want, and it's a decent price.

I need to buy a smoker. I've just never gotten around to it.

I use just my regular ol' gas grill though, so I'll probably be shunned.

Already been grilling sweet corn (wrapped in foil with butter and parm), chicken with BBQ sauce, italian sausages. Going to do some pork loin Tuesday night.

Going to give this Spice Rubbed Pork Skewers recipe a go soon too. There's a couple more on the Cooking Light 41 Top Grill Recipes list that looks solid.

Green Egg is legit. But pricey, plus I don't want to go with charcoal when all I want to do is sear a steak.

As far as cooking goes though, it does make a tasty meat.

My buddy did pizza in his once. Best homemade pizza I've ever had.

I grill year round out here. Weber original kettle.

Getting ready to build a gas deal into an outdoor kitchen and potentially pick up a BGE, or whatever non-Chinese comparable thing I can find.

I feel weird going natural gas, but charcoal really is a bitch most of the time now that I'm working a lot.

No grills. All outdoors on the various beaches. Some have fire pits, some don't

My favorite place is Eagle Beach. Located in a fjord, where to glacial rivers meet tidewater.

Its been a few years since I've done a lot of grilling, but I just bought a new house, and want to make a rocked patio area for grilling.
Still trying to decide on the right grill though.

I just finished building this one a couple of weeks ago.

I don't have a pic on my phone but it's also got a jet burner inset into the trailer frame behind that grill so I can cook beans or boil shrimp and crawfish.

Eta: yes Hardy that's Plum Crazy Purple on the trailer

I figure this is fitting for this thread.

Smoked Yardbird...

That break in the bark is from the tongs when I picked it up off the smoker. She's gonna be a succulent chicken, she's resting now before we devour her.

I got this grill about 4 years ago and I love it.
LINK

I'm a charcoal fan. Not much on the gas grills. I guess I still enjoy building the fire and all.

I got a Masterbuilt electric smoker a year or so ago. Love it. Smoked a whole chicken last week. Love to smoke a steak for 20 minutes and then finish it on the grill. Best steaks I've ever cooked.

Very nice

I reverse seared my first steak last week. Time consuming but man was it good.

I have a gas and a charcoal grill but no smoker yet.. I would like to build a smoker and buy some digital controls and have a gas fired wood smoker but I'll probably just buy one.

I purchased a Masterbuilt electric smoker last year and I absolutely love it. I love that I can set the cooking temp and have consistent results regardless of what the external temperature is.

Ag, that is an AWESOME looking rig. Great job. Would love to have something like that but stationary. No need to haul it around here.

Built it and the trailer so I could take it to my daughter's (well god daughter) college softball games in Arkansas and North Texas.
