I think the Military lost a ton of respect for Bill Clinton when he refused to allow the JCS to wear their uniforms to the White House when he first was elected. There was a huge "brain drain" on General Officers under him when budgets were slashed and OpTempo increased 100%. I never said he didn't have the right to say it. I am pointing out the difference in the media reaction to a crude thing a liberal said vs what their reaction would be if Trump or another GOP person said something similar.

So you are saying if I discuss Colbert's crude comment, that I'm 'melting'. so you are basically trying to ridicle people using their free speech to discuss Colbert while at the same time positioning yourself as a champion of free speech.

I would say Colbert is 'melting', not the people criticizing him or merely observing the difference in reactions to a liberal vs a GOP/conservative. i don't think anybody but the most juvenile dumb people thought his 'cock holster' 'i hate you on politics so you're gay!" joke was funny. he is obviously more interested in insulting trump than being funny. it is possible to insult Trump and be funny at the same time but he didn't achieve that.

i could care less what other countries think about Trump. All that matters is what Americans think about him and I think other countries fear Trump much more than Obama. lol

Being crude is not the same thing as simply being politically incorrect. A conservative who rightly blames radical Islamic terrorists for a terrorism act can be said to be politically incorrect in today's society, yet he is not being crude.

It is actually quite politically correct for liberal politicians and celebrities and media types to be crude and rude.

If you've been watching Colbert, he's made these jokes pretty regularly. It's funny. Not sure why this particular joke caught some people's attention.
