It seems like half of the songs from the 60s-80's were about drugs and sex, they were just hidden behind cheerfull lyrics and upbeat music.

It's based on a drawing that Jules Lennon did for his father.

The best 'acid' song is '25 or 6 to 4' by Chicago.

In the 60's or 70's there was a show called HR Puffenstuff that I swear only made sense if you were on drugs. Even more interesting was that it was a live action cartoon show aimed at kids as it aired on saturday mornings.

I find it hard to believe Lookin' Out My Back Door by Credence isn't about drugs, but Fogerty denies it to this day.
