Huntsville has come a long way in the last 15 years. We'll have a Top Golf before the year is out.

We need an overpass on University/Highway 72 from the Parkway to Limestone County tho.

I would kill to have any kind of golf course worth a dang other than RTJ in prattville, but that'll never happen. There's too many hick golfers that wear jeans and a T shirt to play a round here.

Birmingham is getting better. Montgomery on the other hand is such an eye sore. I hate having to say I live in a bordering county to Montgomery.

Montgomery is about 10 years behind Birmingham on the entire "let's not have a shitty city" plan. I have no issues or worry about going downtown and drinking.

I'm in Amarillo at the moment and I like what I see. The number of wind farms here is amazing. You get an otherworldly feel when you see them standing tall and spinning so slowly. Kind of an alien landscape.

I've built plenty of those in Amarillo. They look slow because if there 116m diameter but at the tip it's 200+...

I would add:
Greenville, SC

Stopped in Asheville before the masters.

I was not impressed. I thought it was kind of dumpy. I asked a bartender what was the main economy in the area, he said "brewing beer".

I think Columbia SC is a nice town tho. Seems like there is plenty of room for it to grow.

I would also add Des Moines.

Asheville along with Charleston is the most overrated city in the southeast.

but the city high school is the most immaculate high school building i have ever seen.

Can't forget Google Fiber either. Can't wait to see the finishing product of Mid City Huntsville.

Birmingham is on its way up, but it needs the historic tax credit to pass legislation. The tax credit has helped Birmingham revitalize tremendously, and will play a huge role if they decide to renovate and expand the BJCC.

That type of golfer used to permeate the entire state. I don't play much anymore, but when I was playing regularly I routinely repaired a half dozen ball marks on almost every green. Drove me crazy people wouldn't do that, or didn't know they were supposed to. The RTJ courses were the worst because they got so much traffic.

Yeah lot of people are bad about divots there. I've yet to play at the RTJ in Auburn yet, but I hear it's nice. One of my good friends at Auburn had a golf class there and said it's definitely worth a weekend try.

Branson, Missouri may become a significant golf and recreation destination.

Branson already has several great courses. With new courses designed by Fazio, Watson, Trevino, Woods, Crenshaw and Nicklaus, and all backed by Bass Pro Founder Johnny Morris who is also hosting the Legends of Golf Tournament, Branson is going to attract serious golfers - like Kid Rock.
