I got saved in 9th grade and it was the best feeling ive ever had over the years ive drifted away. And id like to get back to the way i was, starting with music, what are some artist i can start listening too?. I know the obvious Lecrae and Tripp Lee , but do any of yall know some ones that you think are good that aren't mainstream? I found some myself like Aha Gazelle, and Ki'shon Furlow if you have any suggestions please let me know also isCorey Smith okay? because i cant give up listening to Corey Smith.

First things first, get into the Word brother and prayer time. That gets me right all the time. As far as music, Lecrae and Trip Lee are always good and I sometimes take it old school with some Cross Movement. Not a huge rap guy but these guys really speak the word which is awesome.

True, this is a safe place too. Tell us all about it. No one will judge you here.

I consider myself a devout Christian but I really hate Christian music.

Lacrae is the only current one I kinda like.

After dc talk broke up it all went downhill.

Tedashii for another Christian rapper.

For rock, Christian Metal dominates.

Demon Hunter
Haste The Day
Underoath
Norma Jean
August Burns Red
Saving Grace
Becoming the Archetype
And many others.

All have hit #1 on the secular metal charts at one time or another. At one point in the late 00's, 7 of the top 10 metal bands on Billboard's metal chart were Christian Bands.

If you're not religious after that music video, I'm not sure what will win you over.

You have a few trolls responding

I'd dust off some older Third Day and Jars of Clay

Also some older W.O.W.

That's what my dean would say anyway. For my money, I don't know if it gets any better than when Michael Bolton sings "When a Man Loves a Woman."

Nice list, I have seen every band on here in concert, except for Saving Grace.

I listen to all kinds of metal, but Christian rock and metal really do have some good ones.

I gave him great advice. Music truly can't be Christian, and people who look for it to be easily confuse emotional lyrics and emotional music for the Holy Spirit. The two aren't the same thing. God allowed one thing to be "Christian" and it wasn't music.

If he's looking for that sort of thing though I always liked Rich Mullins most. Though in no way could he be considered new.

Try Casting Crowns. Contemporary christian rock. I really enjoy it.
