I think goodwill takes corporate donations as well. The one close to me always has stuff from Pebble Beach. I have numerous PB golf shirts and Nike Drifits. I have sworn for years there is no way PB shirts get donated by the community every couple weeks.

What is this shopping thing you speak of?

Seriously, I still make others do my Christmas purchases. My rule is just tell me what is in the box/bag, so I am not as surprised as they are when they open it.

If it is something I need for myself, I go to the closest retailer; look at color, then size, and if I like said item I purchase it.

All I know about Kohls is it is a great place to take a shite. Not too many people in the store and most of them are women. Nice clean quiet bathroom.

That is why I love the law office of a lobbyist. Clean and wonderful bathrooms with no fellow men because they are on the golf course as the paralegal women do all the real work in the office.

Oh, one more thing.... It takes me 5 minutes to "unpack" a new pair of pants or a shirt. There's usually 2 stickers to pull off, 8 pins to pullout, and 2 or 3 of those annoying tags attached by plastic string that you need your house's sharpest knife to cut. Who is putting all that shite on these clothes!? I bet half of the cost of the item is just all the time and resources that go into putting all that bullshite on there.

The local family dollar usually has sales on their clothing and the checkout lines usually are fast, even if they are long. When I buy my clothing there, they don't ask me for this or that or try to sign me up for their gimmicks. I can be in and out with all my professional clothing in no time.

Exactly! Except for me it's jc penny's, kohls is still bad though. One time I spent 45 minutes in a line at jc penny's with 5 people in it.

I have an extremely nice Tommy Bahamas collection. Goodwill is vastly underrated and for all that make fun us, it's us laughing at you.

Your rant was 100% spot on OP. I felt like I was reading my own thoughts at shopping there. Only sticking point I have is the Kohls cash. My cheap bastard ways outweigh my impatient motherfricker attitude. If I know I'm going to be buying a good amount of work shirts, pants, casual wear, what the frick ever, the Kohls cash they give either amounts to me going back the following weekend for a free pack of socks, drawers, or undershirts. The Kohls cash is worth keeping and using.

The worst thing about Nordstrom's Rack is finding the damn checkout.

They hide those things. Why can't they be by the front door?

the last time I went I got some rip stop Eddie Bauer shorts and a pair of North Face technical pants that fit perfect and were basically new. 5 mins and $8 bucks later and I was out of there.

Kohls does an excellent job of offering discounts and Kohls Cash and being able to offset those items with at least a 30% increase in price of products they are selling for 30% off.

People think they are getting a good deal, when they are basically paying full price.

just ftr i was in kohl's in conway last saturday and got checked out in like 5 seconds. yes, the guy circled and noted on the receipt several times but quick like and no problem whatsoever. i had an experience like yours at old navy right after that and just left my stuff i was going to buy, i wasn't about to get in a checkout line that had at least 10 people in front of me.
