Question about Michael Jackson?

Those of you old enough to have truly experienced the greatness of Michael, before we found out he touched lil boys, do you listen to his music differently now that you know that? Like that song, Pretty Young Thing, it just feels freakin weird when I listen to it knowing he really meant it.
I use to absolutely love Michael Jackson jams, but after all that shite went down It's hard to take his music serious.

I remember the Jackson 5, they were just a little older than me, and when he broke out in the 79-85 years, it was unreal. Guy was unbelievably talented.
But then he started having the surgery's and the child molestation things came out, and I don't purposefully listen to his music anymore. He really went down hill in a sickening way, both physically and mentally.
Very odd and sad.

I was a huge fan when I was 13-16 years old. The Jacksons came to Birmingham to rehearse for their upcoming Victory Tour, and I stayed outside the hotel down by the civic center (with a few hundred others) to see if he'd wave from his balcony. He did, but I wasn't there when it happened.
Looking back, it's all silliness, but his later life hasn't changed my enjoyment of his music from my earlier years (Thriller & Bad albums). There's not much better than turning down the lights, grabbing a drink, and watching the sun set while The Lady In My Life plays in the background.

I only listed to MJ when he was actually a black boy with his brothers. I didn't listen to him after that.

I always thought he was vastly overrated as a singer. Just never understood the obsession. (Graduated HS in '82 so qualify as being old enough) Thin voice with shitty enunciation. Threw in the odd "Woo! Hoo!" and "Sh'mon!" so I guess he was a great entertainer.

Yea, by the time the 2000's rolled around he was done. He was cringe before cringe hit the interwebs.
Jackson transcended music, though. No denying that.

I hate practicing pedophiles with a passion so, yes, my feelings about him and his music changed drastically after revelations of child abuse surfaced. I know he claimed to have been sexually abused as a child but that's no excuse. If he was actually abused then he, more than others, should have known the harm he was doing. I never accept a pedophile's reasoning that he or she molested children because they were abused themselves. That's bunk.

In 1993, Jackson paid Evan Chandler $32,000,000 to withdraw a charge that he, Jackson, molested Chandler's son.
This carries the same weight as a conviction, in my opinion.

The debate of who was more talented, better musician, had better songs, bigger entertainer, more in demand between Michael Jackson & Prince went back and forth their entire career.
Odd how obvious the answer to that debate is now with both of them gone.

How can you reject the very public evidence that MJ was a pedophile? Would you have let your prepubescent boy sleep with him?
Jackson had the resources to buy off any charges placed against him, and did. The greatest talent often accompanies the most troubled minds. I think this was Michael Jackson's duality.
