I don't doubt that many religious organizations fulfill a community need. I've said that in other posts in this thread.

That's why I proposed a second solution, transferring welfare from government to local religious organizations. They could do a much better job of finding and then helping people who genuinely need assistance.

Send them to Eastern Kentucky. There isn't a geographically more poverty striken area in the country.
