Let's work backwards.

(1) There probably never was a shooter. One person reported seeing or maybe hearing 3 shots and no evidence of any shooting was found.

(2) Hospitals/medical centers are very common scenes of violent crime. They're full of people in a high stress environment.

SAN DIEGO (RNN) - There have been no injuries discovered since the Naval Medical Center San Diego posted a report of an active shooter on social media Tuesday morning.

A Navy spokesman said that nothing was found to indicate a shooting, and people were being removed from the building. Authorities were performing a more thorough sweep of all the floors inside Building 26, where the shots were reported.

"This is a case where we are pursuing the information we have to its logical conclusion and ensuring everyone is safe," the spokesman said.

This is the kind of shite that happens when you take away guns and limit people's exposure. People freak out over random bangs.
