Parents who kiss their child on the lips

Is that weird to anyone else? I definitely think it's harmless and just a gesture of love but it's still weird to me. The only person I will kiss on the lips is my SO. Kiss your child on the forehead or cheek IMO
Also if you do it, at what point is the child too old for that particular sign of affection?

Oh, is this the next great social crusade? Child-kissing?

Here's the thing: I kiss my little girl on the cheeks and forehead, but she is all the time grabbing my face and planting a big one right on my lips.
And frankly, I hope she never stops.

I'm not a parent, but I say let folks discipline and show affection to their kids however they see fit (provided the correction is not abusive and the affection isn't of the immoral variety).

Fair enough
But after about age 6 it gets a little weird to me (mainly ppl posting pictures on facebook thinking its sweet. It's not. It's creepy)

I find it kind of odd after they aren't little ones anymore. I won't judge anyone for it however.
I will say that it's probably a bit more healthy than those parents who don't show much affection at all.

Seems like a Cheeseburger Eddie question.

As long as they aren't sporting some lip herpes, I see no harm in it.

What about when it is granny?
What about when she slips you the tongue?

9. 8 and 5 year old girls.
Still get my smooches while I can. It'll get rarer as they get older, I'm sure.

Cheese Grits are you one of the creepy grandpas that does it?

I'm all for it. It usually has a limited lifespan. When your kids reach the teen years you become so repulsive to them that you're lucky to get any response that isn't negative. Maybe it's just my kids.

Lord no, I am not fond of kissing anybody most of the time.
I was really just prodding for Cheeseburger Eddie to show up as his comments make me cringe and laugh at the same time.
