CHRISTIANITY IS A "FAR EAST RELIGION! The west has turned Christianity into such a milktoast religion, almost so bland that some of you frickers forget where it came from.

Ummm, no, just stating that Christianity, like their cousin the Muslims, are both from the East.

It's an adjective for as long as I've listened to the Finebaum show, which should've been a clue. Anyway, frick off.

So you think she was simply speaking regionally. Got it.

Neither I nor the person in the story are the people that referred to Christianity as a 'Far East religion'.

That would be you.

You were also kind enough to include a chart listing the religions that descended from Abraham - of which none are "Far East" religions.

Maybe this will help.

Far East

Middle East

Religions of the world

Maybe it is just me, but the link between the religions of Abraham appear to be noticeably absent from the area otherwise known as the far east.

The school seems pretty silly by not offering the option for students to opt out. Modern yoga is pretty generic and only in more serious practices is still linked to the actual religious teachings it came from.

I did laugh pretty hard about the crystals and healing powers rumor upsetting them so much.

Which was my entire point. She's IN an eastern religion complaining about the yoga in her kid's school being representitive of an eastern religion.

Then maybe you should have said

quote:

eastern religion

which would have been accurate instead of

quote:

CHRISTIANITY IS A "FAR EAST RELIGION!

which is not.

It's hardly semantics when you're off by the width of a continent.

Is yoga a "religion"? Is it the worship of a diety?

Is this a Christian v Muslim argument?

Isn't Yoga associated with the Hindu religion?

All the monotheistic religions are we're from the "Far East" in the eyes of the Romans.
