Panama City/Panama City Beach eating and attractions?

My family and I are going to Panama City Beach for vacation this week. We have never been here before as we usually spend our summer vacations in Pensacola or Destin. Was looking for any good recommendations on restaurants or things to do besides beach time. Also I see there are several golf courses in the area and plan on playing several rounds. Any recommendations on those would be welcome as well. Thanks in advance.

Angelo's is a good steakhouse. It's no Ruth's Chris but who doesn't love a gigantic steer outside the place.

Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville is a good place in Pier Park.

For the love of all that is good and pure, please tell them right now that you were kidding.

Typical Mississippi trash goes to places like PC. Enjoy it...

Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville is quite possibly the worst dining establishment that I have ever patronized.
Try Saltwater Grill and The Boar's Head. The latter is a bit dated in terms of decor, but the food more than makes up for it. We went last year and, should we ever return, both of those restaurants are on our list.
Couldn't tell you about attractions as the bride and I mostly just stuck to the beach. What I will tell you is that if you're less than 100 lbs. overweight, you will be the designated eye-candy for your section of the beach. There were some obese MoFo's in PCB last year. We're doing Gulf Shores this year. Hopefully the Gumps have better talent than Florida.

Hunts and Uncle Ernie's are both really good and are on the Bay in Panama City. I highly recommend both. If you go the PCB and don't eat at Captain Anderson's, you should be ashamed. The area that my first 2 recs are in is called St.Andrews and everything over there is pretty good. Avoid seafood places in PCB like on the strip. Tourist trap trash food. Just drive over the bridge to the bay for dinner every night and your food options get much better. Honestly, the dinner options on that side of PC top the choices in Destin

Other recs in St. Andrews (the bay next to PCB): The captians Table and The Shrimp Boat.
If you eat in PCB, Boondocks is pretty good as well as The Back Porch in pier park

As far as attractions, I drink lots of yuengling on the beach. We always drive to Destin (preferably a rain day) and go to the outlet mall. There's plenty of shite to do but I just drink all day on the beach

Head a few miles west into the Rosemary Beach/Alys Beach/Seagrove Beach area.

Plenty of great places to eat in PC, those saying head to destin or Pensacola (are you shitting me? Pensacola?) are misinformed.
The best dining is across the bay off beck avenue (downtown)
Hunts, captains table, shrimp boat are all hard to beat. Boatyard and captain Anderson's on the beach are both good. Schooners off Thomas drive offers good food and an unbeatable atmosphere.
If you're after oysters, dustys on the west end is as good as it gets

Agreed. As far as dining, I've always thought PC>Destin. It isn't even close

Sandestin>>>PCB. Destin is definitely better.

PCB perhaps, bay county as a whole? Lol no. There's great places to eat downtown that get their seafood daily off a dock a few hundred yards away

Well, the question was about PCB. I'm all about South Walton myself.

That applies to many places from PCB to Destin, all along 30A and 98.
