How was Brad Wesley able to single handedly control the city of Jasper which seemed to have little to no police involvement when there was lots of illegal activity going on.

Also, did Wesley and Frank Tighlman (who owned the Double Deuce) have a good relationship at one point prior to him going to hire Daulton.

If Wade Garrett was the absolute best why not approach him before Daulton, I know he's getting older but he may have be able to deal with Wesley and his goons better.

Finally why other than money did the sweet beautiful, young Doctor date Brad Wesley a man old enough to be her father at one time? She came off as wholesome and good hearted in her conversations with Daulton.

Bro, they killed Wade. He obviously was not better equipped to handle them.

And of course the bitch was with him for the money.

So the question is, which current SEC player will end up as a bouncer at a rough-and-tumble roadhouse? Or will it be Bielema?

He controlled all of the illegal activity through a network of enforcers.

Yes, he used to supply him booze, so they were doing business together.

Wesley only respected strength and force. Wade needed an asskicker.

$ and power are alluring to women...all women.

That guy seemed way to old to have a name like Brad Wesley.

He was more like a tom or Harry

Movies is not about jimmys and joes, but X's and O's.
Football is not about X's and O's, but jimmy and joes.

A great movie script and find people to star in is great.
Start out with stars and have bad script makes a horrible movie.

Football and movies are totally different because football is all about the players on the field, movies are all about the script and not about the actors on stage.

X's and O's equal play calling for football and the script for movie.

When a guy sticks a gun in your face you've got two choices
- you can die
- or kill the mother fricker

Power, money, and people to do his dirty work and instill fear in the people. Same way the Mafia controlled New York

Age. Remember, he did die so not sure if he was the "best" anymore.

Women love money and power, no matter how wholesome and good hearted they are. They love a "bad boy". Plus in that hick town, Wesley was probably her best option at the time. Plus it wouldn't spur the emotional reaction from viewers if he had some skank as a girlfriend that nobody liked. Classic damsel in distress type of love story where the audience wants to see Dalton end up with the girl and defeat the bad guy.
