Lol. Missed that. Didn't click on the link since I get plenty of protein from the food I eat.

She's not even advertising protein or supplements, she's advertising industry type plastic bottles or something.

Considering my comprehension of her post her advertising is not effective ??

Attempting my first ultra marathon this Saturday. 50k on trails at Mt Cheaha (AL).

Wow, that's insane. Good luck. Check back in and let us know how it goes!

Will do. Goals:beat cutoff times (not get pulled from the course), and maybe finish middle of the pack if everything goes well. Oh, and not die.

Good luck with that, 50k is insane!
I despise steady state cardio, and even more so after breaking my leg. I do respect people who do it, just not for me at all. I am getting more and more into HIIT, but am still bad about skipping it. I just don't have the motivation most of the time to do cardio, when I could be lifting lol.
Today is back and biceps, gonna be a great day!

Walked 5 miles yesterday around the local park (also cleaned the bathroom and the inside of my wife's vehicle).
Gonna most likely walk 3 miles today and lift biceps/back later. I'm not a member of a gym right now so I'm doing Dumbbells at the house

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you buddy
my wife is as marathon runner and her training was insane. Can't imagine basically doubling that.

10 miles at a 9 minute pace is doing work!
My personal best is 10 at 8:30, hoping to do my 13.1 at an 8:45 average, gonna keep with the 1:50 pace runner..... but anything under 2 hours will make me happy.

We intend on waiting at least 3-5 years before popping out any chirren. Going to travel and all that jazz. Buying a house together this summer, etc

Thanks! Good luck with the half. I just ran my first one in November. Still haven't run a marathon yet.

You're jumping straight into an ultra?

No kidding, but ultras on trails have a different view on resting and refueling. A straight out street 26.2 might be considered tougher vs a trail ultra that you aren't really in to win or break a PR

Finally finishing up on location and going to head back into the gym. Went to the 24 hour fitness close to my new apartment and circled the parking garage for 30 minutes looking for a spot and gave up. No chance I do that every day. Hunt continues this weekend

Ok, that makes sense. I was thinking, shite, I may really have to pray for this guy.
You run 15-20 miles a day at certain points for a marathon. I can't even imagine the training for a street ultra.
At one time I ran personal training department and hired a trainer who competed in iron man competitions. Now THAT is crazy. 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and then run a full 26.2 marathon. I mean wtf.
I think I'll just stick to getting my cardio by playing roundball 3 X a week.

Good luck this weekend. Hay is in the barn. No shame in walking. Get to the line. Cheers.
