No he posted a bunch of stuff that simply is not true. I'm asking for real facts that show push-ups are the only thing you should be doing. News flash: they aren't.

They certainly won't "work out" all the muscle groups he claims but they will tone them. And he's right that if you can do 100 push ups you'll be in pretty good shape

I'm 29 and have been running now for about a year and a half. I started with the couch to 5k app. After that I bounced around between 2 and 4 miles and then one day just decided to say frick it and run 10k, which was my goal. I've been on those about 4 months now and have become addicted to running. I run 10k twice a week but can't muster the courage to run a race. I feel good about where I'm at and how far I've come and don't really want to get smoked in a race.

I started out in the 9's and I'm now breaking 8 consistently

47:16 is my best 10k
22:48 is my best 5k

Gotta approach the race less as a competition and more as a workout, but with banana slices and a clock at the end

Used to run a lot of 5ks and 10ks as a teen (my parents were/are running buffs). I can't distance run anymore (and running was never my favorite workout), but the races are cool because of the atmosphere. I'd encourage it

Those are great times, according to the statistics you would finish ahead of 55% of those your age.

Do it! It's called a "fun run" for a reason!

I'm doing my first one in 26 years in about a month

Sorry but it's not true. Doing a bunch of push-ups will certainly not "tone" your calves and biceps. It won't really do that much for anything except your chest and tris. Even then, there is a limit as to how much good it will do you unless you are a beginner. If someone just did 100 push-ups every day they will reach a plateau extremely quickly.

Also, surely no one believes that 100 push-ups is equal to running 12 miles right??

Lol so you're nothing but a troll, I get it now. I assumed so, but wanted to see if you have any valid points, which you clearly don't.

Well for one, he didn't just do push-ups. Two, if you are comparing ANYONE else to Herschel, that's just crazy.

Herschel Walker did nothing but push-ups, sit-ups, and the occasional pull-up.

The reason why a lot of modern athletes and musicians don't have the same kind of freak athleticism is not because of genetics. It's because while they were in the gym, with the women, doing "squats" and "benchpress".

Herschel had already cracked the code. All you need is your bodyweight and a healthy dose of pushups.

But if you're not going to take MY word for it....

First off, he did pull ups everyday. Second off, yes, HW was an absolute freak and there is no one like him. Again he did not only do push-ups so your argument is invalid. Also he is literally the ONLY example you can show.

If you truly think all Arnold did was push-ups you are even dumber than I thought.

Push-ups do not adequately work out ANY of your back, legs, glutes, or your abs. Also the fact that you think push-ups equal 12 miles of running, or cardio of any kind is INSANE.
