If you can take that sort of pain, you're a bigger man than I am.

hahaha, I felt good about my original comment. But then I actually read the thread. I have a bad habit of deciding what I'm going to say in a thread as soon as I read the title. I felt bad so then I decided to edit and respond appropriately, without the Jass Quackery.

I had one once, went to a foot doctor and had it cut out. Very painful, even with drugs.

My doctor has gone to greener pastures, she was really cool, I don't have a new one yet that I trust.

If you don't go ahead and get it repaired, you will always deal with it.

Just got to the doc and get it fixed or removed

Had one in the 8th grade. Everyone kept telling me how painful it was to get fixed. I literally didn't feel a thing and I haven't had a problem in the 11 years since.

Sounds like you may have to lose the toe. Sucks to be you.

Sorry Auggie you are fricked. If you dont get the toe amputated it will get gangrene and you will die. Suggest you can fix this yourself with a hatchet. Or do it the bama way and shoot your toe off.

I call BS. I had an operation done to my big toe on my left foot when I was 14 and that shite was painful.

I've never heard someone say they "didn't feel a thing" when they had this operation done.

OP, if you have it, get it fixed ASAP.

I fought one for years. How painful is it when someone steps on your toe? Finally went to a Podiatrist and he cut it out. Years later and never a recurrence. The Podiatrist is the only answer.

I had one, used hydrogen peroxide on it for about a week and it seemed to have cleared out everything under the nail. It was my big toe and I used clippers to cut away about half the nail. Eventually it grew back normally and been fine since.

I had dealt with ingrown toenails on both of my big toes for about 4 years until I decided to go to a podiatrist to have it removed. The only painful thing was a fiery sensation from the shot to numb everything. I couldn't feel a thing when he was doing the procedure. It takes about a week to recover, and I haven't had one since then (5 years).

I had my right big toe fixed by a doc, the left one I cut the ingrown piece down to the skin locked a pair of hemostats onto it and yanked it out root and all.
