It's no secret that the poorest states are the most obese.

A little perspective on those numbers. The "best" city on the list for obesity has 25 fatties for every 100 residents while the worest city has 33 fatties per 100 residents. Neither end of the scale has much to brag about.

Poverty.

Four McDoubles are a lot cheaper than some kale and baby spinach.

I just got back from a week in Maine. The most noticeable difference between Florida and there was not the weather, but the people--saw very few obese people on Mt. Desert Island--at least, compared to what I'm used to here in O-town. Like being on another planet.

Just a lotta chow hounds in SEC land.

This thread makes me glad I moved to Boulder, the thinnest city in America. Apparently with enough hiking and biking, white girls can grow some booty. Or maybe it's the legal weed that keeps is thin.
