Thanks for proving my point. You omitted the last part of his quote to create a false narrative and change the context. The last part of the quote is ...to arrest a man after having proof he lived there. Gates was more than detained,he was arrested and spent a few hours at the police station, and he was arrested after providing proof he lived there. And that's exactly what the Breitbarts have done in other cases. Splice the quote, take it out of context, and create a false narrative.

And Gates was absolutely partially in the wrong in the case.

not sure how obama leftwinger can talk about breitbart pushign false narratives. that is what the liberal media does 24-7.

that's why we have been hearing about Trump being in cahoots with Putin for months now.

This is what defined Obama permanently for me. When he "evolved" on the gay marriage issue, he immediately started lecturing opponents instead of being a bridge between the two sides. Now I didn't really believe he was against it in the first place but he at least had a real chance to show true leadership and cool the tension on both sides. He could show both sides that being a supporter of either side isn't an indictment on their character. Instead, he immediately jumped to using it as a wedge issue.

That's not the most important topic of the last 8 years but to me it's a microcosm of how Obama failed to be a leader and it revealed to me that he had no interest in bringing this country together.

Here are some of Obama's comments on Hiroshima:

"Yet in the image of a mushroom cloud that rose into these skies, we are most starkly reminded of humanity's core contradiction . . . How easily we learn to justify violence in the name of a higher cause."

"Hiroshima teaches this truth . . . The scientific revolution that led to the splitting of the atom requires a moral revolution as well."

"The memory of August 6, 1945 must never fade . . . It fuels our moral imagination. It allows us to change."

"Hiroshima and Nagasaki are known not as the dawn of atomic warfare but as the start of our own moral awakening."

if that's not an apology, it is at least Obama virtue signaling using the issue.

I don't see anything wrong with what he said there.

no doubt but another liberal on here sneered that Obama never apologized and was trying to make conservative/ GOP out as hacks.

i don't think it is inaccurate to say Obama apologized for Hiroshima. he obviously beat up on the decision.

it is interesting that an abortion and Planned Parenhood zealot like you wants to lecture people about Hiroshima and morality though. u dropping nukes on unborn babies all the time. they never did something like tthe Pearl Harbor attack to us.

Kept us out of a big war, Killed Bin Laden, and no major attacks on our soil.

Retard Bush did none of the above.

His mother was probably at least a little annoyed by the pregnancy.

no doubt and that is why you support abortion, b/c sometimes the mother is annoyed about being pregnant.

then you and other abortion zealots like Obama get up on a soapbox and lecture people about morality. lol

Absolutely none of that is true.

It's borderline criminal that you'd even spout such bullshite.

short memories:

While he reduced the # of troops in Iraq and Afganistan, Obama expanded the use of Spec Ops dramatically.

In 2016 over 26,000 pieces of ordinance were put on target.

Might be the least offensive thing he said in 8 years.

It's hardly an apology. And we shouldn't apologize for Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Japs started that shite.

They want an apology, they can suck it out of my dick.

ok, so you are saying he said it was immoral but he's not apologizing for something that was immoral. lol

doesn't make any sense. he is clearly trying to virtue signal based on bashing it as immoral

Twas talking 9/11 type attacks like the trash on Faux news and talk radio guaranteed us would happen under his admin.

And name me a war he's gotten us in that's cost us 3 trillion dollars for absolutely nothing.
