Just when you thought it could not get much worse, the Gateway Pundit released this information today:

quote:

The rate of real economic growth is the single greatest determinate of both America’s strength as a nation and the well-being of the American people.

On Thursday the Commerce Department announced that the US economy expanded at the slowest pace in two years. GDP growth rose at an anemic 0.5% rate after a paltry 1.4% fourth quarter advance.

Ronald Reagan brought forth an annual real GDP growth of 3.5%.
Barack Obama will be lucky to average a 1.55% GDP growth rate.

This ranks Obama as the fourth worst presidency on record.

Barack Obama will be the only U.S. president in history who did not deliver a single year of 3.0%+ economic growth.

According to Louis Woodhill, if the economy continues to perform below 2.67% GDP growth rate this year, President Barack Obama will leave office with the fourth worst economic record in US history.

Assuming 2.67% RGDP growth for 2016, Obama will leave office having produced an average of 1.55% growth. This would place his presidency fourth from the bottom of the list of 39*, above only those of Herbert Hoover (-5.65%), Andrew Johnson (-0.70%) and Theodore Roosevelt (1.41%)

Peter Schiff was saying his unemployment #s were good because so many people were getting laid off from good jobs and having to take multiple jobs to make up for it. I will throw that in here for debate.

Either way its the entire governments role to keep an economy rolling and Bush and Team Red have not done their part. Time to fire the whole duopoly.

Not to be argumentative but isn't this Obama's economy by now?

I'm shocked that a President who has advanced the entitlement generation and reduced the taxpaying generation by millions both directions could cause this to happen.

But is it his fault?

Funny how when a dem is in office, the economy is dependent on the entire gov't, but when a repub is there, it's all on him.

The world economy has been in the shitter for years, dating back to the Bush Administration.

How many countries have experienced significant economic growth over the past 6-8 years? Not many, I imagine.

Huh? The economy grows in spite of the government, not because of it. When government puts undue burden on free enterprise, growth stagnates. Governments divert wealth, not create it.

$17 trillion debt didn't happen overnight. Both parties are addicted to spending and deficits. And it kills me that we now assign to the Executive the role of job creator and economic comptroller. More bread and circus politics for the masses.

No it's not.

This statement is one of the biggest problems we have in America today

You probably think the Panic of 1837 was Jackson's fault too.

You know i could take your post seriously if you had responded to the OP as well. But you didn't which makes me think you are a red team idiot. I do agree with your post. My point was more that both sides are at fault and that they dont work together and their idiot fan boys just blame the other party instead of looking at the reality.

Well, you'd be the idiot making assumptions. I'm as Libertarian as they come, and have voted as such since I could cast my vote.

But I agree, the two party pitting is dumb and detrimental. It does keep the masses distracted though.

So he makes a good point but you can't take it seriously because he didn't respond to the OP? That totally makes sense
