I'd spend 15-20 if i was in the area for work. Looks fun enough. Impressive architecture, skillful animal crafting, probably some other exhibits coming that they didnt show. Its a big ship so im sure there is plenty to see. I mean i enjoyed Disney World and i dont actually believe mice can sing and dance. Not a destination place, but i could enjoy the show for 20. At 40 its not worth to me.

I just wouldn't be that comfortable giving that guy money. After watching that Scientology documentary on HBO, I feel weird seeing a Tom Cruise movie, so maybe I'm weird.

You can even get a job at the Ark. But you might want to look at part of the application. LINK

I pay plenty of quacks directly or indirectly. What's one more? Have we determined if they have an animatronic Shem, Ham, and Japheth yet?

True, but it's a piece of mind thing.

Is Ken Ham going to fill it with two of every species? I would pay to see him try to pull that off.

He couldn't possibly get all of the animals to play nice in that confined space, much less store all of the food necessary for a boat ride that is close to a year long. And the smell...

I know a lady from the Memphis area who made a pilgrimage up there with her husband and son. She spoke highly of it, but she and Ken Ham are ideological kin, so I take it with a grain of salt.

It's one of those roadside attractions that I would probably stop at with my kids. Culturally not different from visiting and learning about the Temple square, or numerous native american and Canadian sites they've visited, but probably a bit more familiar to them initially, as they were raised in a Christian church.

If I'm ever in the area I might go just for the lolz. This thing is a shrine to human credulity.

Don't miss Ken Hamm's Creation "Museum" in nearby Petersburg. It's his real-world interpretation of creation science. Be warned, you'll get dirty looks if you laugh out loud.

Christians are such fricking hypocrites. Want separation of church and state until it comes to one of their fairy tales.

I agree they're hypocrites, but not about this. Christians are almost NEVER advocating for separation of church and state. They almost always want their beliefs encoded into law, whether the issue is abortion, gay marriage or whatever. They also support government advocating their religion, such as with religious displays on government property. They're wrong on this issue, but they're not being hypocritical. This is their standard position in almost all cases.

Now, if you want to talk about Christian hypocrisy in the museum context, the owners of Hobby Lobby, sponsors of the soon-to-be-open Museum of the Bible here in D.C. have been accused of buying stolen artifacts from the Middle East for its exhibits. Some of them have come from Iraq and might possibly have been looted and sold by ISIS to raise cash.

It is embarrassing to even think that some adults actually believe this just so story is historical
