Needing to buy a set of brown causals (slip on preferred) for school and just going around town.

Where is the best place to get some Duck Boots to have for when it gets snowy etc...

Thank you

Sperry Topsiders are basically slip ons. I don't know if I've ever untied/tied mine.

I shop online for almost everything nowadays because going to a mall is awful. But I usually know what I want and how they'll fit. Zappos.com for online is a good option for shoes and boots. In store, I usually go to Bass Pro or Cabelas for boots. I think you could get Sperry's and other brown leather slip ons there too. Check online first.

Never thought about Zappos. I forgot about Bass Pro for the Duck Boots, Springfield is not that far away either if I wanted to go see what else they had.

You can usually go to their website and check the specific ones you like and see if they have them in-store before you make the drive

Wore 1 pair of Sperry Mako 2 eye for 5 years. Just bought the exact same thing because I wear them to work and they were starting to wear. Still wear the old pair.

Nice thing about Sperry is they carry about as casual or dressy as you want.

ETA: Ads for Sperry Makos just appeared on the page. I don't like technology

Duck boots - LL Bean

Brown casuals - I like Clarks or Merrels, though Merrels sometimes look a little too casual.

I have a couple of pairs as well and the ones i've wanted to keep nice look nearly brand new after polishing. Which I only do maybe once every six months. Great shoes.

I agree with Spleen on Clarks as well. I have 2 pairs of the Clark Desert boots that I wear casually and they are great. But they're not meant to be used as real boots.

If you are traveling to Springfield, check out the Bass Pro Outlet right next to the big store. I have purchased hunting boots there for the past 15 years. If you catch it at the right time they have a huge selection of the high end boots - Danner, Merell, Red Wing, Rocky, etc. at steep discount.

i'll get hell for this.....

Marc Anthony shoes at Kohl's are the shite. i forgot a pair when traveling once and had to make a rush to buy some. got those and have pretty much bought them since.

Kohl's is for the poors and i'm pretty sure Marc Anthony is a preop, but those things are the bee's knees.

Well I am poor, working for a school district. I do not care what "brand" they are as long as comfortable and somewhat look good.

My biggest issue is width, I have B width so have to be very careful or wear double socks. It is why I love Nike and Adidas, they are narrow and fit my feet correctly. I hate Rebok, New Balance, Saucony, and Asics; they are just too wide in running or athletic shoes.

Yeah, if you are going to get them, get the original. Well built, comfortable and will last a long time.

If there is a DSW around check them out. My job requires slacks and a tie but I do a decent amount of walking around. The nice wooden or leather sole shoes are nice but they aren't practical for me.
