I'm in the middle of creating a newly designed product for my industry .... I need a fuel pump ( Electric ) designed to stop when it is flipped over or reaches a certain angle...
I know it would probably have to be hooked to a gyroscope or something like it... not sure...

Check out the tilt switch used on pinball machines. Add a damper and you're there for less than a dollar.

Use a Fetzer Valve with a chip and that should do the trick.

put one of those switches on the bottom of your pump like what is on small space heaters.

a lot of old aircraft engines would cut out if the plane went inverted because the fuel was gravity fed. Dont overlook the simple stuff.
