Sounds good. I like Gus's chicken. It's a little spicy

God, I would kill for that basket in the pic. I have been on a diet for 11 days now.... When I hit two hundred (30) pounds I'm eating a whole jerked turkey by myself.

One of the Nashville hot chicken places is supposed to be opening a location here in Bham sometime soon.

Its the only one I have had in nashville, but its not the best simply because the store lacks the quality AC required to deal with the hot chicken.

So basically It's fried chicken with a lot of pepper?
Just googled recipe. It's the exact recipe that I use but with more cayenne. Not a big deal.

The cayenne isn't in the dredge. It's in a sauce you brush on after frying the chicken. From the epicurious recipe:
quote:
Whisk cayenne, brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, and paprika in a medium bowl; carefully whisk in 1 cup frying oil. Brush fried chicken with spicy oil. Serve with bread and pickles.
The result is more like fried chicken buffalo wings with a really hot cayenne sauce.
