I thought the necessary percentage for herd immunity to function was like 93% for measles - don't know how outbreaks aren't all over the place in states that are lower than that.

Getting shots and also washing your hands every second lowers your immune system, which makes you more likely to catch the flu and cold and other bugs. But with that said a measles shot is a good idea as such.

I've had every shot known to man at some point, just about. I wash my hands all the time. I never even get so much as the common cold.

Precisely. That's why measles is spreading in certain areas and not others.

You're right that the measles shot is a good idea but you're wrong about the rest.

Is not necessarily a bad statistic. It depends on the cost of living in the state also...we have the highest buying power in the country so your dollar goes a lot further here.
