I'm in SE Missouri. Not only does the family restaurant not have fried okra as a side option, but the waitress had never heard of it. Okra.

Killz, what do you have to say for yourself?

I was in Mississipi once, they didn't know what teeth were.

They just knew what a Tooth was.

An anomaly.

I grew up eating fried okra, in Missouri no less.

Go to Lamberts Cafe, the fried okra is free, and it's all you can eat. I'm sure that appeals to your Mississippi sized gut.

I call bullllllshit! I grew up in southeast missouri. Where are you at? In my hometown of Sikeston go to Lambert's more fried okra than you could ever eat.

Back in the day story forthcoming....

Back in the day, when I was in college at Mo St., or SMS as we called it back then, we'd smoke out, and then drive down 65 to Lamberts and meal on ham steaks and chicken fried steak.

And of course, spoonfuls of fried okra, brought right to the table.

It was so much fun to get baked and go to Lamberts. Bus loads of old folks, throwed rolls, and tons and tons of food.

Good times.

Notice, the grits line includes southeastern Missouri and should include okra on the menu.

I'm not saying he is telling the truth but my faith in the American public's intelligence was lost when they reelected this guy.

Do you geography? That is like an hour and a half from Springfield...that isn't southEAST Missouri, that is more south central or southwest Missouri. Southeast Missouri doesn't really start until about Poplar Bluff.

We go to the one in Foley, but Lambert's is a great thing for all of society.

Hwy 63 is the border. Everything East of that is SE MO. This restaurant happens to be on the East side of the road. So, yes. I geography.

Miller's. And the lady had never heard of Okra.

No mans land.

That's the weird part of Missouri that no one claims.
