Even the poorest programs could easily find 8 boosters to pony up $100k each. Look at the exorbitant amounts of cash required just for the chance to buy extremely high priced season tickets. Then look at the waiting lists of people lining up to spend that money.
The real issue would be the pressure put on the HC to show results following such a trip. Boosters who donated are going to want proof that the trip helped the team beat Rival U. Harbaugh is still in a honeymoon period where he can get away with these circus tricks. He better beat Ohio St.
