Stupid. What is the most advanced addition and subtraction we even need to learn? If anything we just need to teach math in excel at an earlier age. Are you still in school?

Exactly, it is not flawed if you get that correct answer and the point of mathematics education is not to make it so that our students can add numbers quickly. It is to teach problem solving skills and to lay the foundation for calculus and more advanced topics.

However, there is nothing wrong with challenging people to think in new, more efficient, creative ways.
Y'all should at the very least read this guy's book or watch him on Youtube before you claim that his techniques are a waste of time.

You're smart and you understand things.
First off for someone that mentioned the metric system, tell me how we could ever manage computing if we ever change our number system and keep the metric system. The oilfield has some dumb units. I'm well aware of the idiocy, and redundancy of math and calculations and shite. Point being, every computer you have has microsoft excel, and you give someone just a basic understanding of visual basic, you can solve some of the most advanced combinations and series in twenty seconds of processing time, that would take a lifetime to do by hand or in their head, regardless of mizzoukills stupid new number system.
