(CNN) -- The death of a Georgia man who fell about 85 feet from an upper level of Atlanta's Turner Field has been ruled a suicide, an official said. Ronald Homer, 30, fell during a Braves-Phillies baseball game on August 12. The cause of death is blunt force trauma, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office. Betty Honey, an investigator with that office, said Thursday that Homer had committed suicide. He had no other injuries besides those sustained as a result of his fall from the fourth level of the stadium shortly before 8:55 p.m. during a rain delay.

Not surprising. People that were in his vicinity when he fell said that it was intentional.

Bad enough for everyone who was affected (little kids at the park, etc.)
The only thing good about this, is that he didn't take out a dozen or so innocent people gunning folks down as he decided it was time to end his own life.

Well that's fricking horrible. Definitely not on my list of ways I want to die.

Suicide would possibly cross my mind if I had to sit through a professional baseball game.
Too soon?
Too soon?

Yeah, there are a lot of people today, such as yourself, that can't appreciate a quality game that hasn't changed that much to accommodate dumb people with limited attention spans over the years.
I don't think that was the case for this guy.

Baseball is boring. Fact. Nothing exciting needs 162 games be played to determine a winner.

Nascar can be boring, but baseball really is one of the most boring sports. I still don't understand killing yourself by falling a hundred feet. frick that. I'm scared of heights.

Damn straight.
NASCAR>>>>>baseball.
200mph is always, always more exciting than standing around waiting for a dude to hit a ball with a stick under half the time it's thrown to him.

I love cars more than sports.
With that said, I encourage any of you nonbelievers to catch a Yanks vs BoSox game or somethnig with a meaning one day soon. There are more traditions, hallowed stories and quirky unique actons in baseball than you realize.. Go to weekend games, end of series matchups, etc.. Don't judge baseball by the 10 minutes of a Rockies game you watched on TV in the middle of the week..
