Here are a few of South Carolina's finest:

Bucklick
Burns Down
Cat Hole
Cheddar
Climax
Dog Bluff
Fair Play
Happy Bottom
Hell's Half Acre
Nine Times
96
Poverty Hill
Possum Town
Round O
Tip Top
Wide Awake

There are a bunch more...those are just some of my favorites. Especially Hell's Half Acre..it's in the county I was born and raised in and seems pretty fitting.

Yeah there's a bunch of native American town names that people not from Alabama can't pronounce. Eufaula, Opelika, Oneonta, Wedowee, Arab (Ay-rab), Loachapoka, Lafayette (la-FAY-it), Flomaton ... but I thought this was more about ridiculous, funny names than hard to pronounce ones

quote:

Lafayette (la-FAY-it)

Wrong, it is pronounced (la-fett) like bobba fett.

I was about to say Flippin. Arkansas has some weird town names. I love it here though! I can't wait for the summer. We found falling waterfalls or something like that last year and can't wait to go back.
