Go to Po Monkeys in Marigold or Ground Zero in Clarksdale. Other than that, gamble your face off at the many casinos. Lot of good plate lunches in the Delta though.

Night Life for people not in college: The Blue Biscuit in Indianola, Websters in Greenwood... A few places in Clarksdale. I'm more of a South Delta person...

I've got plenty of opinions on food:

Cleveland has plenty
-Airport Grocery
-Hey Joe's
-The Warehouse

Greenville/Leland
-Doe's
-Vince's

Greenwood
-Lusco's
-Crystal Grill
-Webster's

Indianola
-Nola
-Blue Biscuit
-Lost Pizza

Yazoo City
-Hines Grocery
-P-Reaux's

Belzoni
-Allison's

I farm so my entertainment usually has something to do with that... There really isn't much to do I guess. Most people just go out to eat on Friday and Saturday and that's when most socializing goes on.

My wife's mother grew up in Tunica. I had to spend Christmas there this past year. Wanted to kill myself by trying to jump in the river and swim to Arkansas.

My question is for suggestions on restraunts, night life, anything that would be of entertainment.

What part of the delta?

As far as night life..nothing in Greenwood worth shite anymore. Blue Biscuit in Indianola on Saturday night is fun, Blues Bar or Spectators in Greenville on Saturday can be fun if you catch it when there's a good band playing. Thursday nights at Sharpestreet (Pickled Okra bar) in Cleveland is always fun..5 dollar cover all you can drink beer. I go every thursday cause it gets a solid female crowd from DSU.

As far as restaurants..the Delta is solid. Pick anything and it's good. Crystal Grill, Luscos, Websters, Delta Bistro in Greenwood. Nola, Sookies, Pea Soups in Indianola. Town Market, Hometown in Inverness. Lillos, Ciceros, Vinces in Leland. Greenville and Cleveland have numerous options for food...Belazar's in CLeveland is a favorite of mine as well as the new place in Ruleville called 1933 though it's really expensive.

Best steak in the entire Delta (hell, probably all of Mississippi) is at Doe's in Greenville. It's in a shady part of town but I've never had any issues getting there or leaving.

False. It has been beaten by a restaurant in Scott, MS which is on HWY 1 just north of Greenville. I can't remember the name of the place but I ate there once and it was the best damn steak I've ever had.

The worst parts of Arkansas and Mississippi are squished together in a kind of butthole-scissor.

I'd love to live in the Delta! Love it up there. Just cant justify leaving my job to move up there. Maybe when I retire.

I haven't spent much time in the Delta, on either side of the river, aside from duck hunting trips. There are lots of little mom & pop restaurants and dives from my limited experience, which is cool. The landscape kills me, and the skeeters are bad. Lots of farming chemicals, etc. Not an area I'd like to live, but home is home.

The Onward Store on Hwy 61 in southern Sharkey County has an incredible plate lunch now... Don't know about their dinner menu but lunch is on point.

I can remember the first time as a kid when we drove east of Little Rock toward Memphis. The row crops buzzing by the window were disorienting and fascinating. Like a different state altogether.

I was up at the Monsanto farm the other day and someone was talking about it. I can't remember the name either. They said it was awesome, but you have to get there early because the food quality depends on how much the cook has had to drink.

Doe's is pretty hard to beat, but then when you add the tamales in, it's just unbeatable. Crystal Grill has some awesome tamales too.

What part of the Delta are you living? That would help narrow down and add to some of my suggestions.

Nightlife:
Webster's in Greenwood
Cotton Row Club in Greenwood (if you know a member/regular)
Airport Grocery in Cleveland
Most of the restaurants with bars generally have some nightlife
Fratesi's in Leland (not really nightlife- more of a place to grab a beer and hangout after 5pm)

Restaurants:
Sumner Grill in Sumner
Farmer's Grocery in Grace
Lillo's in Leland
Sherman's in Greenville
Blue and White in Tunica
Lusco's and Crystal Grill(my favorite restaurant in whole Delta) in Greenwood
Crawdad's in Merigold

You might want to consider joining the local country club for entertainment. Some of the larger ones have a lot of activities throughout the year.
