90 y/o.

A Cardinal great with an impressive announcing career. The boys from the Hill are playing together again for the Big Man up yonder.

Peace to your family and friends.

Bless his heart. I'm old enough to remember him and Tony Kubek doing the NBC Saturday "Game of the Week."They really weren't that 'good' but they had a chemistry where it was enjoyable to watch.

They were great together ... they definitely had chemistry. Garagiola was funny as heck too.

Speaking of Kubek, I remember when he got hit in the throat by a bad hopper from Bill Virdon when I was a kid ... and I actually got to ask Bobby Richardson (who was our baseball coach at the time) about it in person. That was a scary moment and it basically ended his playing career for all intentional purposes.

RIP. He was before my time, but I have some old Cardinals games on DVD I really enjoyed listening to him and Scully work their magic on NBC. Damn, they were great together.

Some names are synonymous with sports. Joe Garagiola is one of the biggest.

Gone too soon.

Kubek and Garagiola were the CATS arse. I loved the MLB game of the week back in the day. I remember watching those with my granddad when I was a kid.

His voice was baseball to me back in the day. Right up there with Curt Gowdy and Vin Scully as far as being my favorites that I listened to.
