I applied with this transportation company here for a management position. They called today to set up an interview. The location of the interview is at a steak house nearby. I've never done the interview at a restaurant thing.

Normally, I'd just wear a suit to an interview, but does the same rule apply to this type of location?

I've read about this kind of thing before. The CEO who was interviewed said he would go ahead of time and tell the waitstaff to provide poor service and poor food to see how the interviewee responded. So don't be surprised if your steak is burnt and your drink never gets refilled.

yep, sounds like one of these new social experiment type of interviews. They want see how you act under stress. As trivial as not get your order right may be. If you don't really want or need the job, you can have some fun here.

Wear an old crusty t-shirt. That shows them you are willing to get dirty to get the job done.

1 - Wear the suit
2 - no matter what they order, don't order alcohol
3 - they'll pick-up the tab and that will be your hiring bonus

Order the most expensive thing on the menu. Get hammered and be incredibly rude to whoever is serving you.

Get the salad. easy to eat, doesnt make you look like a slob, and will be clean. Also, never finish the food, always leave a little behind.

If they are buying a steak, they might be expecting a BJ.

Terrible advice. If you like to drink a beer and the boss has ordered a beer, you order yourself a god damn beer.

If the boss is paying, buy a dozen then haggle a better price so he knows you have skills.
