Sex is like golf or school or any other activity. You enjoy it more as you get better at it. Comes with practice and experience.

Best advice is to find a willing partner (friendship is a good baseline) and start hammering away until you figure it out. Keep your expectations low, and your mind open. Don't worry about love or marriage or guilt or being 'good' or anything like that.

Finding a partner who has a relaxed attitude about it is better than being in love or having a lot of pressure on both parties to perform or live up to some expectations.

Sex is a biological function. Love is a binding emotion.

Too many people confuse the two.

It's good either way, but I've always found that being in love makes it better. I also grew up in a way like that, didn't lose my virginity until I was 21 (28 now). It's not a terrible thing, and honestly, probably keeps you out of more trouble than it's worth having.

Oh, and use a condom. Always. If you're afraid of botching it, practice on yourself with the condom.

Yep, waiting isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as you know the first couple times it WILL be awkward before, during, and after. Definitely let whatever partner you end up with know that it'll be your first, so there may be some "growing pains."

But as to the question in the OP, it all depends on what you define as better. Better sex-wise is usually when you don't care so much about the other, like a drunken one night stand. You can go all out and do something you normally wouldn't knowing you may never see this woman/man again and let any kind of inhibitions go out the door.

Emotion and guilt-wise it is definitely better with someone you love, or at least are in a serious relationship with. It's just a different level and hard to explain unless you've experienced it, no offense to the OP.

In love helps. But it gets better with time and someone you can talk about what you like and they like and what each others turn on's are.

Both of you being open minded about what each other wants and needs, leads to some pretty great stuff happening.

Happy Humping to you and yours.

Grew up their. Enjoy Lake Jordan, there seriously is nothing else, unless you want to go to the Casino.

That damn casino always takes my money. But yeah, there's not much here. I typically go to Lake Martin, though.

Yeah frick that Casino. About the only thing good about it is the shark tank and the free drinks. And of course the free food on Sunday for military.

Hopefully they follow through their plans and rejuvenate the downtown.

Sex can be many things, but the more you care about the person, the better it is in my opinion. Make up sex is fun because that person drives you crazy, and you were insanely mad at them, but damn if you don't just want to be inside them more than anything. One night stands are never as fun as you think them to be. I've never dated a girl that gave it up on the first night, anyway.

And holding on to your virginity til marriage is something you might care about, but I'd suggest giving it up. I know staying a virgin til marriage works for some people, but a lot of others it just leads to poor expectations and the inability to separate lust from love. One of my really good friends is a 27 year old virgin. Beautiful girl. Went to Auburn. Dated a minor league baseball player. It consumed so much of their relationship that they are broken up after 7 years. Now, I think they'll probably get back together, but it has given her a really unhealthy expectation for sex. It shouldn't be the center of a relationship, it should be an extension. But it's so fundamental in who we are as creatures, it's almost impossible to learn how have a healthy sex life without going through the motions, as it were.

Better than what? Sex with someone you don't love? Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't.

Ummm, gonna disagree with you here. They are plenty enough fricking fun to continue doing them.

And if I'm reading this right, you're saying you haven't had one? If that's the case, how can you say they aren't as fun as you think them to be? Maybe they're 4 times more fun than you can imagine them to be.

I'm guessing sex can be great when you're not in love, and can be awful even if you're in love.

Like anything else that takes practice to do well, it likely depends on the experience level of the participants more than anything.
