And I'm digging it.
In the first 15 minutes the shift supervisor tells me he doesn't even care if I watch Netflix the whole shift as long as I pay just enough attention to get my job done without fricking anything up.
We laid back as a MF in dis bit

Where's all my night shift people at?
Tbird, you still working the graveyard?

Remember to give your arm breaks. Treat it like a full time job, two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch break for every 8 hours.
You don't want to pull your bicep or sprain your wrist.

Yeah I've been switching arms at the start of a new video. I have an IV going so I don't have to worry about fluids.

I can't switch hit, I'm strictly a left-armer. It just doesn't feel right with my right hand. My right arm controls the mouse and my left arm is the business end. That's just the way it's been since I was 11 with dial up Internet and AOL 4.0

Been on nights a awhile. My issue is i never feel rested. Day sleep isn't like night sleep.

Just finished last week. Done with the military.

Problem is trying to switch back to a full daytime schedule after working nights for two years Apparently my body clock is all kinds of fricked up. Haven't been able to sleep a full night yet (hence my being awake right now ).

I liked being on nights, though. Definitely for the chill factor. Enjoy it, but switch back to days if/when you can, bruh

I feel like this will work out very well for me. My body clock naturally wants to stay up all night and sleep in the day. It's also very hard for me to just wake up and be ready to work.
If I work first shift trying to start work at 5am or 6am what ends up happening is I still end up going to sleep after midnight and get max 4 hours of sleep before work then I go home and fall asleep and get the rest of my sleep. They say it's actually healthier to split your sleep up like that, Thomas Edison and Ben Franklin did it. But I hate it because then the only times I'm awake and not at work is after 6 or 7, and if I have to stay awake and to get something done at a normal business hour then I'm dog tired.

Now I remember you posting about retirement. Congratulations and thanks for your service

Are you jumping back into work or enjoying retirement?

Well I WISH it was actually retirement was only in 4 years before I got medically discharged but I'm happy to be moving on.

Have a job interview in San Antonio on Friday that I'm hopeful for, but I wouldn't start till July most likely so yeah I'm enjoying my little work reprieve at the moment

Good luck with the night shift! It was a good fit for me too (I'm a night owl naturally like you), but I think I just was stuck on it a little too long for my own good

Gonna go try this sleeping thing again. Have a good one, BowlJackson! The site always needs a good #NightWatchman or two

yea, this always works out well. Take it from a old man. Don't watch Netflix at work.

Especially for you. If you turn the volume up too loud you could scare off the fish. You might also get distracted and stick your finger with a hook while you're building lures.

This is an Australian and I think that has something to do with the laid back attitude. I've worked for two other international companies and I'm finding the companies themselves take on the personality traits of the countries they come from. Last international company was Japanese and they were real uptight. Had every single detail of every single job planned down to the second to make sure you spent every second working and the only down times was your breaks. The other international company was Canadian, it was kind of gay and the worst run company I've ever worked for. Completely unorganized, one giant day to day to cluster frick, terrible leadership all the way up to the owners themselves. I've worked for more professional mom and pop places than the Canadian company.

I did it in the early 90's for a few years. Screwed up my digestive system for the first few weeks.

Make your room like draculas coffin. Heavy blankets over windows ect. then get a white noise maker or loud air filter.

I worked nights for a year where I am at now. A days spot came open a week after my daughter was born, so I took it. The relax chill factor was nice, nothing like watching tv on a 3x3 of 40 in TVs. One thing about the AF, they dont shy away on spending money lol.

Training your body for sleep and adjusting back for the weekends, I did at least, was the toughest part.
