Texas, of course.

Whisky flows like water, the women are fast and loose, and the men are at work.

Probably Australia. Definitely not China/Japan (or any similar country), Russia, or somewhere in the Middle East

Australia seemed like a strange answer to me, but...

Canada is too damn cold.
Mexico has too many Mexicans.
Brits don't like good, edible food.
French are too uppity.
Germans, Nazis, 'nuff said.

Australia it is!

New Zealand - Beautiful landscape, secluded, no capital gains tax, loose women, no venomous snakes.

Assuming I was a citizen of my choice country?

Singapore
Belize
England
South Korea
Russia
Chile

In that order.

If not a citizen:
England
Belize
Canada
India
Australia

I read a report this week about the top 10 happiest countries. All the Scandinavian countries were on it - Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Iceland... Plus Switzerland, New Zealand, Canada and a couple others I can't remember. So I would have to pick one from that list. Or somewhere in the British Isles because of family history.

Yankee answer. I have no doubt Scandinavians are happy, but nobody from the South could tolerate their climate.

I've heard stories about Denmark that basically describe the country as soul crushing to live in. It's like a stepford nation. Scandinavia is in the middle of race riots right now, an they aren't going to get any better. I think I'd pass on that area.
