If you could experience one day from American history... what would it be?

The day Obama was conceived. Maybe I could stop it. Or maybe the day his parents met. Maybe I could stop it.

For this scenario you can only experience it, not change.

You may be confusing his birth with his parents meeting and/or coming together.

I remember watching it on my grandma's COLOR TV. We only had a B/W. So the whole family went over to watch the landing. It was pretty cool.

I'd like to go back and visit with John Browning while he developed the 1911. I'd offer a few suggestions. He'd ask, who the frick are you?

I'd like to be in the town nearest to Pearl Harbor during the attack on the base to see the immediate aftermath not just on the base on from the army but see the reactions of the local civilian population.

I'm told I watched it, but I was too young to remember (2 years old).

In relatively recent times, it would be VJ Day. Overall July 4 1776.

The Battle of the Little Bighorn, also known as "Custer's last stand". That would have been interesting to see.

VE Day. I'd love to have been in a major city when everyone found out the war was over.

Speaking of a party like no other

The original Woodstock. With all the shite going on in this country I would love to go back, get a couples of doses, turn on, tune in, and drop out.

The signing of the Declaration of Independence. I'd like to hear the comments from the signers as they affixed their names to the most important document in our history.

My ever so great gf was an Ensign (Officer Colour Bearer) with the Virginia troops at the Surrender at Yorktown.

Wish I had known that when I visited the Yorktown Battlefield.
