If people are born gay, how do we explain the Transexual movement?

It's fairly obvious that they aren't born that way.

It's all mutation. Wild random variations. The good ones become more common as they are passed on. The bad ones die off because they don't reproduce.

I doubt that you've ever even met a transexual.

Well in the Symposium by Plato, Aristophanes talks about how there were once three types of genders among humans. So maybe it's some kind of Jungian collective unconscious recall of ancient times but I've always wondered about that myself.

Like how does someone feel like they are the wrong sex?

I don't think they're born that way. Just like I don't think straight people are "born that way" either. I do think individuals are predisposed to being one or the other.

So you don't think we're born with any sexual preference? Hmmm

No. Infants aren't sexual, and they don't have a sexual preference.

I don't think sexuality is learned though. No one had to teach me at 12 to get a boner when I saw a naked girl.

I don't think we are born with a sexual preference.

I think what causes a person to be gay/bi/tranny is a complex set of psychological factors that we really have yet to understand.

Why do some people have a stronger sexual desire than others? Why do some people enjoy fetishes and others find them weird and repulsive? I think the gay tendency is linked to these same psychological factors..perhaps due to a repressed desire of something that was lacking in your life growing up.

For example, a person who was spoiled by his parents but felt relatively unloved and undisciplined may desire that form of affection and it transcends into a sexual fetish for BDSM.

They have never found any indication of a "gay gene" and no cases show a trend of gay inheritance so I refuse to believe it is genetic or a genetic mutation. I think it is a powerful psychological factor, and one that can rarely be "fixed" as it is as powerful as it would be if it were genetic.

Who even knows how many people may have gay thoughts and repress them because they know it is wrong and people who do act on it are weaker minded in that area due to some psychological factor? Like no different than if you imagine murdering someone you dislike, but don't act on it because society deems it wrong.

Now personally, I don't have a problem with gay people. They have the right to do whatever they want. I think the act is repulsive and disgusting but I don't judge the person, as it is no more sinful to be gay than it is to commit adultery or have sex before marriage, in God's eyes. I have sinned myself in sexual ways, getting with random women I barely know, so I feel no need to stand on a moral high ground and preach against homosexuals. We are all imperfect, we all have specific desires that our minds and psyche have a difficult time overcoming.

I do, however, hate when gay people bitch and moan and try to push their lifestyle on everyone else. That shite annoys me more than anything.

Just my 2 cents worth

I'm not saying it's learned, either. At least not totally. I think people have a predisposition to be attracted to a particular sex is all. So when gay people say they were born that way. Well, that's dumb and it actually hurts their cause IMO. I get what they are trying to say, but it makes people focus on the wrong part.
